Eye-Mazing! See All 48,000 Panels Of The AIDS Memorial Quilt Online

By: Daniel Villarreal

Until now, if you wanted to see the entire AIDS Memorial Quilt, you'd have to fly out to Atlanta and ask The NAMES Project Foundation to unpack the 48,000 panel, 54 ton blanket from its warehouse.

But thanks to Microsoft, you can now see the entire thing from the comfort of your home.

That's right, they digitally photographed and put the entire thing online.

Last time anybody checked, over 96,000 people had contributed to "the world's largest piece of folk art." But if you wanna search the quilt for your friend's panel or even make a panel yourself, you can still do that too.
