Some Klingons Are Gay. Get Over It!
Now in its sixth year, Stonewall’s iconic "Some People Are Gay. Get Over It!" campaign has boldly gone where no LGBT charity has gone before.
You've seen the anti-homophobia campaign's slogan all over the world, but now it's been translated into Klingon — albeit fictional, the 10th language into which the campaign's been translated. The release coincides with the UK release of Star Trek Into Darkness in hopes that LGBT fans of the sci-fi franchise will share the Klingon imagery on social media to celebrate the film and raise awareness of Stonewall’s campaign for equality.
Says Stonewall Deputy Chief Executive Ruth Hunt in a press release, "Klingons may be renowned for their determination to fall out with people but, as Spock would say, even gay Klingons should be able to live long and prosper."
Available in both Klingon language text and Earth text, the images are available for download from Stonewall’s Facebook page.
