Matt Bomer Comes Out

Towelroad and The Huffington Post are reporting that actor Matt Bomer acknowledged his sexual orientation in public for the first time Saturday during the Steve Chase Humanitatian Awards in Palm Springs.

The White Collar star thanked his partner, publicist Simon Halls, and their three children after receiving the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

"I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry," Bomer told the crowd. "Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment."

Bomer's speech follows an OK! magazine article published Thursday that reported "the actor shares three kids with his partner, Simon Halls."
