Raven-Symoné Responds to Lesbian Allegations

Last week, The National Enquirer published a story alleging that former That’s So Raven! And Cosby Show star Raven-Symoné is in a romantic relationship with America’s Next Top Model contestant AzMarie Livingston, and that the two women are now living together. While the story gained some tracking in blogosphere, many considered the source (including us) before jumping on the story. But on Friday, Raven took to Twitter and basically said her sexual orientation is her business.

In a series of four tweets sent from her MissRavenSymone account, the one-time Disney diva wrote:

“I am living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest. I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating. And I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings [sic] to know. I’m not one for public display of my life. However that is my right as a HUMAN Being whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!”

While some celebrities who initially chose not to disclose their sexual orientation, eventually came out as gay (Ricky Martin, Zachary Quinto), Symoné could just be keeping her private life private. She has been in the public eye since she the age of three, and now at age 26, may not think there is anything wrong with people believing she’s gay.
