X-Factor Drag Hopeful Freaks Out Britney Spears

So far pop-star and occasional train wreck Britney Spears has judged the X-Factor singing competition without any major meltdowns. But damn if a man in a dress didn't push her to the brink this Monday.

According to People Magazine, Spears reportedly stormed out of auditions in Greensboro, North Carolina when a man dressed in boots, cat glasses, a bedazzled jean jacket, and a hair bun performed her song "(You Drive Me) Crazy."

Though the crowd loved it, the performance seemed to drive Spears crazy. She watched in stunned disbelief as her fellow judges Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell tried to stifle their laughter by putting their hands over their faces.

Her co-judge L.A. Reid offered Spears a consolatory pat on her back, but Spears still stormed off after his song with Lovato and Reid chasing behind her.

Cowell told the performer, "I don't think she quite understood your tribute," and the poor singer got all teary-eyed and said, "I had to fight real hard to get here."

Apparently he had recently gone on welfare and almost missed his X factor audition call because he couldn't pay his telephone bill (which leaves us wondering how he afforded those fabulous shades and jacket... but no matter).

Spears eventually stopped acting like a diva, returned to the judges' table and told the guy, "I really respect the tribute. It was really nice." Mm-hmmm.

Maybe Spears left because she thought the guy was trying to impersonate her rather than just sing one of her songs. If some guy came in dressed all janky and started repeating your words, you might walk off in a huff too. But girl has got to chill out. This is the second time she's reportedly walked off set during judging.
