Chloë Sevigny's Killer Out Cover & Interview
There's been plenty of buzz about Chloë Sevigny's role as a pre-operative transsexual hit-man in the British series Hit & Miss. Sevigny stars as Mia, a hired assassin who discovers that she's a father. Because the child’s mother has died, with whom she was involved before she transitioned, Mia is suddenly the legal guardian of a son she’s never met.
The 37-year-old actor and culture icon recently sat with Out magazine to talk about the hyped role, which required among other things, kickboxing lessons, firearms training and English accent coaching.
Sevigny tells Out, “I was worried people would be angry that they didn’t cast a real person who was transitioning. I asked why they didn’t, and the producers said they didn’t find the right person. It’s a big responsibility toward that community, and I wanted to do them right.”
