Joel McHale Gets Hit on By Guys, Is Flattered You Think He's Gay
The Soup's Joel McHale appreciates his gay fans — even the really flirtatious ones who shamelessly proposition him.
"Much like in Say Anything, guys usually stand outside my house with a boombox over their head blasting the Indigo Girls," jokes the happily married Community star in a new interview with The Advocate. "Actually, guys sometimes will tweet me, 'I’m in L.A. Staying at such-and-such hotel. What do you think?' Of course, it all depends on the quality of the hotel." Joel also shares a great story about when he accidentally found himself alone at a gay bar.
Why does he get mistaken for gay? Joel thinks it has something to do with the fact that he dresses so well. "It’s flattering," he says. "I always find it really weird when guys flip out over someone thinking they might be gay. If a guy gets offended by that, there’s something’s wrong with him. I take it as a compliment."
So what's the best way for a straight guy to handle a gay advance? "Just a very quick, courteous blowjob."
