If, like me, you are a huge fan of Queer As Folk's Gale Harold, you will be thrilled to hear that the actor has booked a potentially recurring role on Desperate Housewives, according to TV Guide's Michael Ausiello.

Ausiello reports that Harold, who recently guest-starred as a white supremacist on Grey's Anatomy, will first appear in Desperate Housewives' May 18 season finale as "a quick-witted, charming and buttoned-down suburbanite," and he could be back next season.

The finale is a two-parter, by the way.

In the first hour, which is titled "The Gun Song," Susan and Mike introduce their new baby to the world; Gaby bonds with Ellie, the girl renting a room in her house; and Lynette stands accused of child abuse. "Free," the second hour of the finale, finds several residents of Wisteria Lane facing deadly threats and Susan realizing that she could lose someone she loves. Meanwhile, Katherine's secrets will finally be revealed.

Tune in to find out exactly how Harold's alter ego fits in to all of this drama.

More 90210 Casting News...
Hilary Duff was offered a role on the CW's upcoming Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off, but after perusing the script for the show's pilot, she turned it down, Variety reports. A source told Variety Duff's decision had nothing to do with the quality of the script. Rather, it just wasn't the kind of role she was interested in playing at this time.

According to Variety, Duff was considering the role of Annie Mills, the female lead on the show. This morning comes word that Degrassi: The Next Generation's Shenae Grimes has accepted the part.

Full House alum Lori Loughlin has also joined the cast in the role of Annie's mom Celia Mills, a former Olympic medalist, who moves to Beverly Hills from the Midwest with her family to take care of her husband's mother and finds work as a personal trainer.

No word yet on who will play Celia's adopted son Dixon, also 16.

Neil It's A Date For Britney Spears And Neil Patrick Harris

For those of you who still can't get enough of Britney Spears, CBS has confirmed the date for her second appearance on How I Met Your Mother. Spears will reprise the role of Abby on the sitcom's May 12 episode, and she'll be sharing much of her screen time with Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Barney, the show's resident womanizer.

The episode has the pair bonding over their mutual hatred of Ted and going to the bar to throw their new relationship in his face. In fact, Barney is so eager to get a rise out of his former friend that he pops a surprising question to Abby...
