Who's Your Daddy? Clay Aiken Or Matthew McConaughey?
(Getty Images) I have to admit that I have merrily poked fun at Clay Aiken—a.k.a. "The Gaiken" as Kathy Griffin calls him—in the past and will likely to continue to do so in the future. But I do want to congratulate Clay on being a dad. Aiken's son, Parker Foster Aiken, was born last Friday.
"The little man is healthy, happy and as loud as his daddy," Clay wrote on his blog.
Clay notes that his son was born at 8:08 a.m. on 8/8/08. Looks like eight is going to be this kid's lucky number.
Parker's mom is Jaymes Foster, a 50-year-old record producer Aiken describes as a "dear friend."
In other daddy news: Matthew McConaughey is hot, and I could walk this guy strut around in a pair of board shorts for days, but did he have to tell the world that he saved the placenta from the birth of his son Levi Alves McConaughey last month and plans to plant it in an orchard? Matthew shared this icky tidbit during an interview with CNN's House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
"It's going to be in the orchards, and it's going to bear some wonderful fruit," he told Dr. Gupta.
Matthew, I love you, and if you want to save your baby's placenta, and plant it in an orchard and see apples grow from it or whatever, good for you. But, man, there are some things you should keep to yourself.
