Project Runway: 1st Lady Fashion Face-Off?
(Getty Images) Nina Garcia wants Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain to be guest judges on Project Runway. Screw that: I want the contestants to design a dress that the losing lady would have to wear at her husband's concession speech...
(Getty Images) ...and God willing that would be Cindy. I mean, she already looks like the Crypt Keeper raided a trunk full of D&G and diamonds, so how much worse could she look in one of Blayne's neon disasters?
According to People.com, Garcia commented that having the two ladies as guest judges would "be amazing..." and described the women’s different styles, saying, “[McCain] is Oscar de la Renta. [She's] all about bold colors and she’s all about diamonds and pearls and blondeness.” (By the way, Vanity Fair estimates that Cindy's canary convention confection from the other night cost over $300,000 - including jewels.)
(Getty Images) On the other ticket, “[Obama] is Miss Jackie O. — ’50s, early ’60s,” she said.
(Getty Images) But let's cut to the chase: the one everyone really wants to see made-over is Sarah Palin. Garcia commented, “First, we have to lose the glasses — Lasik or contacts,” Garcia said. “But she’s attractive. She seems to be feminine; I saw the high heels and little beaded skirt. She kind of broke up the suit which is a major move for a politician — and she’s curvaceous.” LOVEs the "seems to be feminine"...meoww!
And if Palin's previous fashion tendencies are any gauge of where her true sartorial preferences lie, I see alot of leather, faux fur and stripper heels...maybe even an automatic rifle thrown in from the Bluefly.com accessory wall. Tim Gunn...what say you?
