Erica Kane's daughter is getting hitched on All My Children, and she's marrying a woman, marking the first-ever marriage of a lesbian couple on a daytime soap.

If you want to see the wedding, set your DVR to record All My Children on Monday, February 16. That's when Erica's daughter Bianca Montgomery (Eden Riegel) will walk down the aisle with her partner Reese Williams (Tamara Braun).

All My Children is set in the fictitious town of Pine Valley, Pennsylvania, and gay marriage isn't legal in Pennsylvania, so the couple and their loved ones will travel to Connecticut for the nuptials.

"This is a milestone in daytime drama," says Neil G. Giuliano, president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). "Bianca and Reese's wedding is a joyful day that countless people—gay and straight alike—dream of for themselves and the ones they love."

Let's hope it is joyful. This is a soap opera, after all, and you never know what might happen at a wedding.

Bianca came out of the closet back in 2000, but she wasn't the first lesbian character on All My Children.

Do you know who was?

The answer: Dr. Lynn Carson back in 1982, with Donna Pescow of Saturday Night Fever fame in the role. Dr. Lynn Carson wasn't just the first lesbian character on All My Children, by the way, she was the first lesbian character on a daytime soap.

Are there any All My Children fans out there? Are you planning to watch Bianca and Reese walk down the aisle, and did you ever think we'd see a lesbian wedding on a daytime soap?

Here is a sneek peek at their wedding:
