Perez Hilton Says He Was Bullied By The Black Eyed Peas

I don’t always agree with Perez Hilton, but I am firmly in his corner today, and I believe he is telling the truth about the Black Eyed Peas incident in Toronto over the weekend.

Have you heard about it?

In brief, Perez contends that Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas tried to intimidate him and that he was actually physically attacked by Liborio "Polo" Molina, the manager of the Black Eyed Peas. According to The Toronto Star, Molina has indeed been arrested by Toronto police and charged with assault in relation to the case.

In an emotional video just posted on PerezHilton.com, Perez says the trouble started when Fergie approached him at the rehearsals for the MuchMusic Video Awards and asked why he was putting down the Black Eyed Peas latest release on his blog. Perez, who, not surprisingly, is used to getting flack for what he writes, says he tried to keep the situation cool and even told her that the band’s new single had grown on him.

Later that night, Perez said a member of the Black Eyed Peas entourage “shouldered” him as they were walking by. Then at an after-party at Ultra, Fergie came up to him again and wanted to know what he had against the Black Eyed Peas. Perez says he once again tried to placate her.

Perez left Ultra and went to another after-party at Cobra, and, according to Perez, when Will.I.Am entered the club and saw him, he went up to the celebrity gossip like a “heat-seeking missile” and got in his face and aggressively told him not to blog about the Black Eyed Peas again and insisted he stop disrespecting him. Perez claims he tried to stay calm but admits losing his cool and lashing out at Will.I.Am, calling him gay, a fag and a faggot.

Clearly Perez’ remark touched a nerve because Perez says he was followed out of the club by Will.I.Am and the Black Eyed Peas manager Molina (Perez calls him “Polo” in his video), who he alleges punched him in the eye two or three times.

Black Eyed Peas In shock, Perez went back to his hotel, where the Black Eyed Peas were also staying. He ultimately called Toronto police because he believed that Will.I.Am followed him back to the hotel, and he was afraid for his safety.

When the police didn’t immediately respond, Perez took to Twitter to let his fans know what happened and ask them to call authorities.

“I would never make something like this up,” Perez insists on the video he posted on his blog today, and I believe him. As he rails against violence, you can see he is still shaken by the attack. “If you are a victim of violence, speak out. No one deserves that,” Perez says. “Violence is never the answer.”

Perez also acknowledges, “I may not do something that makes everyone happy or proud, but I would never hurt someone like that, and I did not deserve what happened to me.”

For his part, Will.I.Am, who made a video last night immediately after hearing about Perez’ Twitter frenzy, denies hitting Perez. But he conveniently doesn’t say anything about whether or not his manager assaulted Perez.

Anyway, do you believe Perez' side of the story?
