Jersey Shore’s “The Situation” Loves his Gay Fans
MTV’s new reality series Jersey Shore has been a hotbed of hot-button issues in its brief run. Not only is it under fire from Italian-American groups for the young cast’s frequent use of the terms “Guido” and “Guidette,” but a recent episode and promos showed male-on-female violence.
One of the show’s most popular cast members, Mike Sorrentino, has dubbed himself “The Situation,” and The Situation is very flattered by all the attention the series garnered him, from both sexes.
"I'll be honest, I like the attention,” he told E! Online. “I'm flattered if there are guys with different preferences that have crushes on me."
"I'm very confident in being Italian," The Situation shared. "I'm proud to have spiky hair and I'm proud to have my six-pack. Whoever doesn't like it, I'm not really too worried about it because everybody should love themselves. If you don't love yourself, who will?"
"I am a little bit of a wild kid,” the 27-year-old admits, “but at the same time, I have that sensitive side. I would love to settle down.”
