Olivia Newton-John to Get “Physical” on “Glee“ with Jane Lynch
It’s a dream match-up courtesy of one of the campiest shows on TV: The Australian singer you’ve been “Hopelessly Devoted” to ever since Sandy went bad in tight black leather pants is guest-starring on an upcoming episode of Glee.
Creator Ryan Murphy recently told Entertainment Tonight, “Olivia loves the show and is a great idol of mine.” The singer and breast cancer survivor, John, will appear in an upcoming episode. In an especially clever pairing, TV fans will be treated to Newton-John singing her campy ’80s hit “Physical” with the tracksuit-sporting series villainess, Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch).
New episodes premiere on Fox this April. We’ll have to wait until then to see John and Lynch get “Physical”!
Lea Michele, who stars in the sing-song series as driven wannabe ingenue Rachel Berry, admits there’s another gay favorite she’s dying to see guest-star on the program: Adam Lambert.
"I love Adam Lambert! I want to sing with him so badly," she gushed to MTV. "If they don't let me [sing with him] on the show, I would just in life. I just want to sing with him so badly. He's just such an incredible vocal performer, and I'm such a huge fan.”
"I feel like I'd be getting to work out at the gym with the best trainer in the world," she added. "You want to work out with someone who's ripped and is going to train you well. That's what I think about when I think of Adam Lambert. I just think he's awesome."
