Glorious ‘Glee’ Goes Gaga in Season 2
Greetings, fellow Gleeks. We are less than one month away from the all-new, all-Madonna, spring return of Glee.
Hopefully you’ve scored tickets to Glee’s concert tour to sweeten the last leg, but here’s an extra tidbit or two to tide you over until April 13:
Fox is said to be finalizing a deal to boost Glee’s second season to even loftier musical comedy heights...
“Season 2 will be much bigger and much longer,” series creator Ryan Murphy confirmed. “We are talking about doing 25 episodes as opposed to [the customary] 22.”
Murphy also shared that he’s hoping to elevate the show’s sophomore season with a “sweet feeling ... like I loved it when The Brady Bunch went to Hawaii. I want [New Directions] to go to some competition in New York.”
Out creator Murphy also revealed, “We reached out to Lady Gaga and she said, ‘Yes, I’d love to be a part of it.’ So we will be doing Lady Gaga this season.” [Cubicle confetti celebrations commence around the globe.]
The April 13 spring return will boast 10 Material Girl hits in the all-Madge special episode. Keep an eye out for out scene-stealing star Jane Lynch’s rendition of the seminal “Vogue,” complete with cone-bra and high-style black-and-white film.
Murphy said her Madgesty “said ‘yes,’ and she cooperated in every way possible,” when producers pitched the special tribute episode.
Two popular (and gay-fave) musical titans who’ve snubbed the singing show: Coldplay [Gwyneth's hub would hate on something as fun and beloved as Glee...) and Bryan Adams, according to GossipCop.com—although Adams denies being contacted by the hit Fox show.
