Gay Couple on Marriage Ref: the battle of Betty Boop

Now we gays can look every bit as maniacal in our marriages as the hetero nut jobs that’ve been airing their marital discords on NBC for celebrities to judge.

The Marriage Ref examines married couples most major problem (to stuff or not to stuff the dead dog, a man obsessed with his motorcycle and Mariah Carey; you know, the usual), then allows a jury of major celebrities (from Madonna to exec. Producer Jerry Seinfeld) to weigh in on the skirmish before host Tom Papa decides as the titular Ref.

On the heels of news the series got the green light for a second season, The Marriage Ref is ready to welcome the first gay couple into the ring, so to speak. Nathan Lane, Tracy Morgan and our girl Kathy Griffin will be on hand to help resolve the issue that Lane quips proved, “gay couples can be as stupid as straight couples.”

This is all over a Betty Boop condiment holder? Oh, dear, boys… can’t we can do better than that? This should have been a Dynasty level, knock-down-drag-out beef to take it to an audience of millions. Like a hubby who suddenly went hippie and drastically bans all magazines, TV and grooming products.
