Ricky Gervais Ready to Repeat as Golden Globe Host

The very funny and brutally honest Brit funnyman Ricky Gervais will return to lead the 68th annual Golden Globe award show on Jan. 16, 2011.

“I can’t believe they invited me back after awful things I said,” Gervais said of the A-list awards event. “Let’s see how far I can go this time.”  

Critics were mixed in their reviews of Gervais’ performance, but audiences responded favorably -- ratings went up 12% under his showmanship.

Doogie could have done it. Just saying.
