What's Your Summer Jam?
Picture it: Los Angeles Gay Pride Sunday. Overcast. My friends and I are at a brunch when suddenly Kelly Rowland and David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over" comes on and we all start dancing in the front yard. Then Agnes'
"Release Me" followed and by the end of that second song all the morning mist had burned away and our sexy shirtless holiday began.
But this summer we're facing quite a dilemma: the gays don't really have a summer jam yet.
Do you have one? Because I really need to hear about it!
We're definitely loving a couple new singles right now. Robyn's "Dancing on My Own" is amazing, so it's in the running, but when you really listen to the words it's a bit sad. Not quite suitable for a Sunday afternoon, cocktail in hand, dancing up a storm on the beach.
Of course, Kylie's new "All the Lovers" is absolutely incredible, but we haven't found a great remix yet that will inspire that same spontaneous dancing.
Lady Gaga's albums have been out too long to have one of her songs be considered an anthem for the summer, and we even discuss Christina's new album.Yawn.
What songs are you putting on your Pride playlist? Let us know so we can get everyone else hooked. In the meantime, check out last year's two summertime hits.
