WANT: Disney Beauty and the Beast Replicas
I know this is totally gay but I don't care.
In honor of Disney's Beauty and the Beast anniversary (can you believe it's the movie's 20th next year?), The Disney Stores are releasing life-size, working replicas of Cogsworth (the clock and pendulum actually function), Mrs. Potts and Chip and his siblings (or as I like to call them, Mrs. Pots and Crack), and a Lumiere candelabra.
This isn't some kiddie, toy product. These are the kind of super cool adult collectibles that make a geek like me want to run out and buy them—and I'm not even a hardcore Disney fan. They're just so awesome!
Check them out, along with details on when they'll be available.
The Mrs. Potts 5-Piece Tea Set is a real china tea set trimmed in 24-kt. gold so you could actually use it at parties. Not that you would, but you could.
The Lumiere Candelabra features an electric center light, but it can also hold two tea lights in its hands and is the size of a real candelabra. Look at that freakin' expression! It just looks so amazing!
They're not available yet on the Disney Store website or in the actual mall stores—so the prices I list here may be wrong, but the details about the item itself should be accurate.
Cogsworth - limited to 1500 for sale, $99.50
Mrs. Potts Tea Set - limited to 1600 sets, $99.50
Lumiere Candelabra - limited to 2000, $79.50
Um, yeah, as soon as we find them in the stores we'll be letting you know in Geek Out!
