Extra Helping of Anderson Cooper Coming to TV

The hottest news anchor on television is extending his presence.

Anderson Cooper will host an hour-long syndicated talk show in New York beginning next fall.

Warner Brothers (home to hugely successful The Ellen DeGeneres Show) says the show will bring Cooper’s “passionate voice and personal perspective to a topical daily talk show… [that] will cover social issues, trends and events, pop culture and celebrity, human interest stories and populist news.”

“Over the course of the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of daytime programs,” the frequent substitute host of Regis and Kelly shared.

“It’s fun and interesting to work in daytime television. The format is unique and you can really go in-depth on a wide range of fascinating and compelling stories.”

The 60-minute program may cover celebrity interviews, undercover investigations, breaking news and more.

The respected CNN anchor will continue to anchor his primetime show, Anderson Cooper 360.
