Cher's Twitter Rage Over Oscar Snub

By: Jackson Lourd

It seems we haven't seen or even read the last of Cher. The iconic entertainer has never been known as a shrinking violet and has now taken to Twitter to express her dismay at Burlesque's poor showing when the Academy Award nominations were announced on Tuesday.

Cher also took umbrage with an anonymous person who had an issue with her gripe.

After the film's Diane Warren-penned power ballad "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" received the Golden Globe award for best song from a motion picture earlier this month, many pundits predicted not only an Oscar nomination, but an actual win. Alas, the musical, which marked Cher's return to film after a seven-year hiatus, failed to receive a single nomination.

Cher Tweeted her disappointment: "We didn't get a nomination 4 best song ! That sucks ! Diane's song Is so beautiful ! It's hard to understand how u win. The Golden Globe 4 Best Song & not even get nominated by the Oscars? Oh well it is..what it is, the sun is still shining!"

The superstar also had strong words for an anonymous person complained about Cher's gripe:

"Whatever Your Name Is?? It is With TOTAL Disregard & Complete Lack Of respect ..... That i Wish u Goodnight & Goodfknluck xxxxCher!"

Team Cher all the way!
