Zac Efron is Packing

Packing on the muscle, that is. Efron admits to putting on 18 pounds of what appears to be muscle for his next film, The Lucky One. 

The 23-year-old actor continues to move away from his squeaky clean High School Musical image by chopping off his trademark floppy locks for a challenging role as an Iraq War veteran in the drama, which just wrapped shooting. "I was just eating, eating and eating," Efron says of bulking up for the film.

Efron is scheduled to be a presenter at the Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday.
