Oscar Kiss Between Javier and Josh Wasn't Intentionally Censored

A kiss is still a kiss...unless it's on live television between two hot actors. Following news that home viewers who tuned into the Oscars telecast last Sunday night missed a smooch between Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin, some find it suspicious that cameras cut to a lengthy shot of Bardem's wife Penelope Cruz

After denying the cut away was intentional, one of the producers of the Academy Awards has issued a second statement.

In a statement released exclusively to The Advocate, Cohen, who is gay and has produced numerous films with LGBT content including Milk, stands by his initial response, adding, "There was nothing intentional about our cut away from Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem dancing and their kiss. We had planned to cut to a reaction shot of Javier's wife, Academy Award-winner Penelope Cruz, in the audience when they were introduced and that's what we did."
