"When I was casting 1313: Nightmare Mansion, I auditioned a young actor named Judson Birza,” DeCoteau explained. “He was terrific! He had a great look with tons of talent. I cast him. We had a blast on set. He was funny yet very professional and serious about his career as an actor. We kept in touch. A year later as I'm preparing the film for release on VOD and DVD on February 1, I see that Judson was a contestant on the new season of Survivor (Jud had to keep it a secret) The day after he won the million dollars I get a text from him thanking me for the opportunity to be in my movie. What a great kid! I am soooo happy for him!"

In Nightmare Mansion, Jud stars as a demonic young man who lures his high school classmates to a party so that he can sacrifice their souls and bring his dead mother, killed during the Salem witch trials 300 years ago, back to life.
