Miley Cyrus Tweets Against Antigay Presidential Candidate

Pop singer Miley Cyrus goes a step further to earn her gay icon bona fides by blasting antigay presidential hopeful Rick Santorum, and contributions that have bolstered his campaign, with a message sent via Twitter.
Cyrus tweeted, “IF WE ALLOW GAY MARRIAGE NEXT THING U KNOW PEOPLE WILL BE MARRYING GOLD FISH’ – Rick Santorum UO contributed $13,000 to this mans campaign.”
Cyrus is referring to Urban Outfitters and its conservative president Richard Hayne, who has been known to give campaign dollars to right-wing politicians and causes.
“Not only do they steal from artists but every time you give them money you help finance a campaign against gay equality,” Cyrus adds.
Santorum's Republican primary campaign is expected to launch June 6.
