Watch: Trailer for Nintendo’s New Wii U Console
During last month’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) Nintendo announced the upcoming release of the company’s next generation game console—the Wii U.
The new console features a unique controller with interactive features that is certain to change the way video games are played. Nintendo has high hopes that the new level of interactivity will entice gamers who may have overlooked the Wii in the past—or turned away in favor for the more advanced PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles—to give the company another try.
The Wii U will have the ability to run games in HD and players will have the option of switching from gaming on their TV screen to playing on a touch screen embedded in the new controller.
Current Wii owners will also be happy to hear the Wii U will be backwards compatible with not only Wii games, but the remotes and accessories as well.
Check out the trailer below highlighting all the systems new features.
