Zachary Quinto To Play Gay in ‘American Horror Story’

Ryan Murphy’s new “psychosexual thriller” looks promisingly creepy and packed with hot stars. And now we're even more interested than ever to check it out.

FX’s very adult American Horror Story had our attention as soon as we heard it was coming from Murphy and fellow Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk. Add on the great Jessica Lange, and TV royalty leads, Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton, plus the chillingly spooky promo (see below), and we were already hooked for the October debut.

Now news from The Hollywood Reporter says that, “former Heroes villain Zachary Quinto… will be a recurring guest star named Chad, a gay former owner of the haunted home where the Ben and Vivien Harmon (McDermott and Britton) reside in the FX drama…" Quinto will make his debut in the first part of the Halloween episode Murphy first mentioned at the Television Critics’ Association’s summer press tour.

Star Trek star Quinto joins the growing cast of co-stars, including Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe, and Denis O’Hare.

Creators explained the show is "Revolving around a family that moves from Boston to a creepy Los Angeles mansion, the series...has what Murphy estimated were eight cliffhangers in the 90-minute premiere."

American Horror Story debuts October 5 on FX. Watch the teaser trailer below to get your blood racing.
