Lady Gaga Opens Gaga's Workshop at Barney's
Lady Gaga took over the fifth floor at Barneys' flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York last night for the opening of Gaga's Workshop. It's a 5,500-square-foot display / boutique that resembles Santa's workshop and is part of Barneys' holiday shop. However, just as the destination is designed as only Mother Monster (and her fans) could love it—think pop-art inspired, twisted Christmas fantasy— so too is the shopping experience. Visitors can find incredibly unique items for sale, with 25% of the purchase going to Gaga's anti-bullying Born This Way Foundation.
So what are some of the available items?
$35 spin toy shaped like her egg from this year's Grammy Awards
$65 sipping tea from a pearl-encrusted cup
$65 black platform stiletto Christmas stockings
$85 box of cookies shaped like her outfits, including the meat dress
$95 chocolate recreation of the armadillo-shaped Alexander McQueen shoe Gaga wore in the “Bad Romance” video
$1,630 Erickson Beamon-designed necklace that looks like a shattered disco ball
Gaga was on hand last night for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and we've got some video of it below. The workshop will be open through Jan. 2.
