This is truly outrageous news!

Integrity Toys, under license from Hasbro, has announced a brand-new series of high-end collectible fashion dolls based on Jem and the Holograms will be launching at 2012 Comic-Con International in San Diego.

According to the official press release, the new commemorative line is designed to pay homage to both the classic animated series and its companion doll line, which was produced from 1985 to 1987.

The limited edition dolls will feature a newly sculpted fully articulated body, high-end details, quality accessories, and collector-grade packaging. "We wanted to remain true to the spirit of the original doll line, while paying homage to the animated series, which is something that we as Jem and the Holograms fans always wanted through the years," said Integrity Toy's head designer, Vaughn Sawyers, in a recent press release.

The first doll in the commemorative collection will be none other than Jem herself, dressed in one of her most iconic animated-based looks known as “Hollywood Jem.” The debut entry for this fabulous collection will include:

  • Fully articulated, highly detailed 12” (30.5 cm) fashion doll with cotton candy pink hair and hand applied eyelashes
  • Screen accurate costume with couture like finish
  • Miniature Jemstar earings
  • Miniature Hollywood Star award plaque
  • Shoes, Bracelets and realistic microphone and stand
  • Doll stand, instructions, souvenir post card and certificate of authenticity.

The Jem and the Holograms Special Edition Doll: Hollywood Jem will be available for purchase at the HasbroToyShop booth #3329 during Comic-Con International in San Diego at an approximate retail price of $125 and following the convention, at

Future additions to the line will be announced in the months following Comic-Con International in San Diego via a dedicated web page located at, which has been created to bring fans all the latest information about the Classic Jem and the Holograms collectible line moving forward. "As children of the 80's ourselves, working on this project with the Hasbro team was a dream come true for our entire team. Jem and the Holograms has been a major influence for us," said Integrity’s marketing director, Alain Tremblay.

With episodes of the classic series returning to television on the HUB in 2011, Shout Factory’s release of Jem and the Holograms: The Truly Outrageous Complete Series on DVD, and Integrity Toys’ upcoming collector line, we’re hoping our favorite animated diva of the ‘80s is gearing up for a brand-new series soon.
