Folsom Street Fair 2012 Preview
Folsom Street Fair, the famous (and infamous) leather and fetish event based in San Francisco, will take place on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The fairgrounds, covering 13 city blocks in San Francisco's South of Market district on Folsom Street between 7th and 12th Streets, are expected to attract 400,000 people in their most outrageous leather/rubber/fetish attire—all enjoying the world's largest and best loved Leather fair.
Last week the non-profit organization released the latest poster design for key annual events, including Bay of Pigs, Up Your Alley, Magnitude, and Folsom Street Fair. In an interesting twist, the official Folsom Street Fair poster portrayed the nude human form as a leather and fetish collective.
"For this year's poster, we want to pose the question: What makes someone a 'leather' person or a fetish enthusiast?" observes Demetri Moshoyannis, the non-profit organization's Executive Director. "Without the aid of our clothing, it can be impossible to tell who is into what kind of scene. We want to showcase the community from a truly stark, bare perspective. This is who we are – exposed. At the same time, we are asking that age-old question: What are you going to wear?"
The 28th Folsom Street Fair will offer 250+ exciting and sexy exhibitors and vendors, hot food and cold drinks, and tons of artistic and cultural entertainment. The event hosts two live stages with 16 live alternative acts, a huge dance area with internationally renowned DJs, a dedicated area for women ('Venus' Playground') and a newly inaugurated Artists' Area. Check out the preview video below, which is pretty much safe for work if your co-workers can handle guys kissing.
