WATCH: A Princely Gay Proposal at Broadway's 'Cinderella'

Sometimes fairy tales do come true!

Broadway's hit revival of Cinderella welcomed its first same-sex marriage proposal after a recent performance when San Diego couple Kunal Ghose and Jason Aronne, who have been together for two years, took the stage of New York's Broadway Theatre.

Kunal, an engineer, was born in India and has lived in the states for six years. Jason, a retail manager for Verizon, had no idea that this proposal was happening.

Under the guise of a special promotion, the men were brought up on stage by Santino Fontana, who plays the handsome Prince.

"Jason, will you be kind enough to accept me as the man of your life," says Kunal, who dropped to one knee. "And will you marry me?" Even the wicked stepmother looked touched!

"Growing up in India you don't hear many western stories but you do read Cinderella and it left a lasting impression of finding 'happily ever after' on me," Kunal said in a statement. "This would be a best place to start our happily ever after like Cinderella and her Prince."
