Rufskin: Reader's Choice Winner for Campaign of the Year

In a very close race—a statistical tie, in fact—Gay.net readers chose Rufskin’s effervescent swimwear campaign over Golden Iris winner Kenneth Cole’s stark populism by just 1%.

Why did Rufskin win by a nose?

The reason is likely due to Rick Day’s breathtaking photos—which took many by surprise.

The men's clothing line consistently delivers solid and sober advertising, but this year injected a fizzy eroticism into its swimwear ads while retaining the earthy appeal that anchors its brand identity. The campaign images were Oz to the previous' Kansas (and to Kenneth Cole's as well). Factor in the effortless sensuality of models Pablo Moraes (left) and the late Murilo Rezende (below) and you have the final ingredients for Rufskin’s best campaign ever.
