As cavemen, foods rich in sugar and fat were hard to come by. Eating them helped folks gain fat and stay warm in the lean winter months.
But these days, fatty and sugary foods are just a drive-thru or convenience store away, and the more we eat such foods, the less effective our body's hormones become in telling us when to stop.
