A Brief Encounter with Model Brett Staal

Brett Staal is 21, fit without being overly-muscled, and sporting the kind of longer hair that's become a popular sight at fashion shows and shoots lately. The Brentwood, TN native currently works at a Hollister store to make ends meet, but he's quickly growing in popularity, having already shot for French Vogue, for a catalog gig in Sicily, and most recently for Out.com's Brief Encounters section.

How does he keep that fresh look? "I try to run every day about five miles and work out 3-4 times a week for about 2-hours in addition to the cardio. [I eat] lots of fruits, lots of vegetables, and chicken. I really like chicken." And since this is an underwear shoot, the guys at OUT had to ask: Boxers or briefs?

"Briefs," he replied with a shy smile.
