Sherlock Holmes and Professor Watson are gay lovers... or, at least they will be when publisher Total-E-Bound releases their version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories with newly added sex scenes between the sleuth and his sidekick.

Gay Star News has more:

Holmes is just one of a number of 19-century literary classics to get a sexy e-book makeover, with Jayne Eyre set to have 'explosive sex with Mr Rochester' and Wuthering Heights heroine Catherine Earnshaw to 'enjoy bondage sessions' with Heathcliff.

The publishers say the raunchy reads will attract a 'younger generation' to the novels, but assured fans of the originals that they are not re-writing the classics and the original prose will not be changed.

'We want to enhance the novels by adding the "missing" scenes for readers to enjoy,' Claire Siemaszkiewicz, founder of Total-E-Bound Publishing, told the Coventry Telegraph.

We decided to looking into Total-E-Bound's current offering of their newly liscentious literature and found a gay version of Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea that sounds pretty salty:

Professor Pierre Aronnax, world-renowned Naturalist, is part of an elite team of men commissioned to investigate a series of attacks on international shipping. Are the attacks the work of some ancient sea monster, or is this “monster” actually a manmade vessel? No one is certain, but either way, Pierre’s assignment is the same: find it and destroy it.

The hunt soon becomes tedious, and Pierre is distracted by Ned Land, a sexy and temperamental harpooner who has his sights set on the Professor. The two begin a passionate affair, but an encounter with the creature they seek changes everything.

Professor Aronnax, Ned Land, and their friend Conseil find themselves held hostage aboard The Nautilus, a secret submarine helmed by the mysterious Captain Nemo. For Pierre, life on The Nautilus is ideal. He spends his days studying the sea’s wonders, and his nights with Ned, discovering a passion he’s never known.

But how long can it last? Captain Nemo is reckless, and Ned is determined to escape. Caught between two charismatic men and the opportunity of a lifetime, Pierre will have to choose: leave The Nautilus, or lose the man he loves forever?

While extra smut will certainly make the more boring literary classics a bit more riveting, we feel sorry for any English student who mistakenly reads the smutty version of these books when preparing for class—caveat emptor!
