Gay Couple Kiss on Spider-Man Cover

A classic comic book figure swings into the now with this inclusive latest cover of a Spider-Man comic.

The book, out this October by Brian Michael Bendis, is about a bummed out Spider-Man, on the outs with his buds, girlfriend, and the world at large.

The cover art by David LaFuente Garcia captures Spidey feeling sorry for himself in a couples-crowded Central Park. Among them, two men embrace as they lean in, eyes closed, for a kiss.

Talk about geek pride.

To be fair, Spiderman isn't too pleased about much most of the time.

Oh brother! I never would have noticed that in a million years. Somebody's stretching something? Eyes closed, embracing, moving in for a kiss. I'm surprised they didn't include what they were going to do after the kiss. I would have just had them kissing if that's what the so called intent was.
