WATCH: Anderson Cooper Takes on Homophobic Official

The new student body president of the University of Michigan is facing harassment from the Assistant Attorney General Andrew Shirvell and Anderson Cooper, for one, isn’t too pleased about it.

So, why is the Asst. Attonery General of the state basically stalking college student Chris Armstrong?

Because he’s gay.

365Gay.com reports Shirvell has been, “videotaping outside his house, following him around with signs, and posting pictures of the kid on his blog “Chris Armstrong Watch”, saying that he’s a Nazi and “Satan’s Representative” on the student council.”

Shirvell’s superior, Attorney General Mike Cox, said in a statement:

“All state employees have a right to free speech outside working hours. But Mr. Shirvell’s immaturity and lack of judgment outside the office are clear.”

Anderson calls out the hateful bully for “going beyond the pale” and “appearing [to be] obsessed with this young man.”
