Watch: Huckabee Calls Gay Parents "Little Guinea Pigs"
Mike Huckabee, the ordained Southern Baptist minister, former Governor of Arkansas, and perpetual GOP Presidential nominee has a lot to say about gay families in his new book, A Simple Government.
Huckabee has repurposed the unimaginative and played out stance that "traditional marriage" is the only way to go—but the guy's got product to sell, right? And since Sarah Palin's book sales are sluggish (and her reality show has been cancelled), he's well-positioned to become this year's champion of the whole gays-as-destroyers-of-America fairy tale, which homo-hating conservatives lap up to convince themselves that they are morally superior. To his credit, the Fox News pundit does show a modicum of creativity with his spin on the gays-as-animals analogy:
"I believe that we're in denial about potential problems as we see more homosexual couples raising families. It will be years before we know whether or not our little guinea pigs turn out to be good at marriage or parenting."
