The Advocate Money Minute Event Series with Matthew Breen

The unique estate planning challenges of the LGBT community is the topic of two free panel discussions moderated by Advocate Editor in Chief Matthew Breen (left).

The lack of Federal recognition of our relationships and the smaller number of us who have children are just two examples of why traditional estate planning often overlooks the needs of many LGBT individuals. Recognizing the lack of information tailored just for us, The Advocate partnered with Wells Fargo to present this fun, informative and important series.

The Advocate Money Minute Event Series seminars take place at New York City’s Eventi Hotel on June 8, 2011, and  San Francisco’s The Sir Francis Drake on June 15, 2011. These exclusive and intimate events are an opportunity for attendees to arm themselves with the necessary information for both local and national estate planning. Some of the country’s best financial and legal minds will speak directly to the needs of LGBT businesses, families, and individuals.

"As an extension of Wells Fargo’s online financial education program with The Advocate, the new Money Minute Event Series allows us to bring the online series to life, offering unique insight and relevant content to help the LGBT community succeed financially,” said Mark Ng, LGBT segment manager for Wells Fargo.

In addition to complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres, attendees will also have the opportunity to meet and network with a community of peers.
