Sectional Sofas - Design We Love
Functional, comfortable, roomy AND gorgeous.
This was our checklist when we first started shopping for a sectional sofa to make our second living room—the “Media Room”—feel inviting and allow for plenty of seating and lounging. The question was, does something like this even exist?
We couldn't find what we wanted, at first. Every store and showroom we walked into was pushing boxy, bulky, basic sectionals with boring lines and little detailing. So we turned to designer furniture lines to get inspired, and eventually found five sectionals we loved. Here they are.

Starting with the sectional that won us over and is now adding comfort and style to our media room, here is the Kendal Sectional in “Alcott Steel” gray Chenille. We opted for a left and right arm chaise to flank the loveseat. It’s decorated with large and medium–sized velvet pillows, also from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. With seating for up to 10, we are ready to throw an Oscar viewing party!

The Daner Sectional from Jonathan Adler has a mid century style that looks so right amongst the latest and freshest design trends. Upholstered here in a natty white wool, it adds elegance and energy to a room.

The Lampert Sectional in “Stockholm Café” chartreuse velvet, also from Jonathan Adler, is a stunner in vivid colors. Exciting and stately, it will absolutely revolutionize a room. If you’re looking to amp up your style and love color, go for it!

The Tufted Circle Sectional in gray velvet from Room Service will bring focus to a large open space, carving out a cozy living room area. If you want a sofa to enhance your social life, this is it! It’s perfect for small cocktail parties, coffee talk, or bridge games.

Last but not least, we happened upon this very attractively priced cicrcular sectional online and wanted it with the ottoman immediately. We love the look of the Bel Aire Curved Sectional Sofa in Blue Velvet and could imagine it in a dark grey room with scarlet and gold accents. A very moody and sophisticated sense of style is required to make this one work.
