Studs in the Bedroom - Design We Love

Clark and I recently attended a trade fair for the home furnishings industry. We got to see what’s great and what’s next for the home. There we discovered a fabulous furniture and lighting company that we think is getting it right. Worlds Away is based in Memphis and has been enjoying a recent explosion in business as several shelter rags and Home & Garden TV shows have fallen in love with their wares. Among their high-profile fans is Nate Berkus, and People's sexiest man of the year, Bradley Cooper, is a happy customer.

What we responded to, at first, was World's Away's studded lacquer furniture in black and white. Just what everyone wants - studs in their bedroom! The mirror-topped dresser and nightstand are a vision of masculine glamour. The studded side tables and coffee table are perfection for any room. These pieces ties right in with our Hollywood Regency aesthetic, butching the boudior up a bit. There's also a natural, limed oak version of the range that's hot on the trail of the next big trend: rustic/turn-of-the-last-century industrial.

World's Away has a few other tricks up their sleeve, too. We were impressed by their massive array of dining, cocktail, side and occasional tables. Here are six of their extraordinary designs that blew us away.

Finally, World’s Away is on top of a hot new trend we’re spotting. Black glass clad case goods and desks. Take a gander at these fabulous pieces, and visit Worlds Away to get a better look at their ranges.
