Viagra Condom Helps Protect and Serve

Lose your mood while sliding a glove on your chub?

The Advocate reports (via The Wall Street Journal) that U.K. biotech Futura Medical has developed a new condom aimed at helping men who have a hard time staying hard. Dubbed by the press as the “Viagra” condom, it's been licensed to the maker of Durex condoms and is nearing approval in Europe.

But the idea here isn't to help a man with his virility, it's to promote safe sex.

The main article explains, "Research suggests that men who have difficulty maintaining an erection when they use condoms are (unsurprisingly) less likely to use them consistently and more likely to have unprotected sex." It then clarifies the Viagra claim with, "While the product has been compared to Pfizer’s Viagra in condom form, that’s not exactly accurate since it’s intended not for men with erectile dysfunction in general, but those who specifically have difficulties keeping an erection when using a condom."

File this one under: "Coming soon... hopefully."
