MUST SEE: Lady Bunny's New NYC Show

By: Joe Thompson

The fabulous Lady Bunny was on Sirius Radio's Frank DeCaro Show on OutQ this week talking about her new show, That Ain't No Lady, which we're super excited to see. This is the raunchy, demented drag diva's first full-length show in almost a decade, and it's being held at the popular Latin nightspot La Escuelita every Tuesday in October at 8PM.

That Ain't No Lady is described as "Fast-paced and action-packed with glitzy costumes and Bunny's trademark gravity-defying bouffant wig. [It's] a cabaret designed for a night club crowd—no lengthy monologues or sappy show tunes here. For mature audiences who enjoy irreverent humor!"

For those of you in the dark on what Bunny does, the brilliant beauty offers lots of improv humor and variety-show comedy mixed with re-workings of popular songs into hysterical parodies; recent smashes include versions of Ke$ha's "Tik Tok," which Bunny transforms into "Big Cock," and classics like "All That Jizz." She'll also offer recreations of some of her hit YouTube videos, including her rap debut with a parody of "Like A G6"—the ode to uncircumcised men which Bunny entitled "Like a Cheese Stick"—a tribute to recently-departed musical giant Amy Winehouse and much more. After the show, boogie to soulful, vocal house to satisfy everyone's gripe that they hate today's dance music. That means you'll hear dance classics like Deee-Lite, Crystal Waters, Whitney Houston and absolutely no Rihanna, Ke$ha, Gaga, Katy Perry or Britney.

•$14.98 and a recession-friendly 1 drink minimum
•For 1 hour after the show, 2-4-1 drinks will be offered.
