Ryan Gosling Could Star in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'
Gay director Brett Easton Ellis has recently been approached to direct E.L. James' best-selling novel, Fifty Shades of Gay... err, we mean Grey.
In the novel, a powerful billionaire convinces a virginal student to become his BDSM slave in the "Red Room of Pain."
While the plot sounds hot, the actor that Ellis has in mind for the lead may well leave you in flames.
Eliis said he'd love the ab-tastic Ryan Gosling (pictured) or True Blood troublemaker Alexander SkarsgÄrd to play Christian, the dominating businessman in his film adaptation. But Ellis also mused on the possibility of casting I Am Number Four's blond Brit Alex Pettyfer as well as Kick-Ass actor Aaron Johnson; that is, if Johnson is not too young to play the powerful and sadistic businessman.
For the female role of Anastasia, Ellis floated the names of Girl actresses Allison Williams and Lena Dunham as well as The Avengers' Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Stewart of Twilight fame. Stewart recently battled an evil queen in Snow White and the Huntsman, so why not a manipulative businessman in this one?
