This 30-Second Video Will Make You An Almodovar Fan
If you did not already know, Pedro Almodovar is the best gay director ever. Ever!
Basically, Almodovar is to celluloid what Antoni Gaudi is to architecture: Both men turn bits of pop trash into amazingly emotional pieces of candy-colored art.
If you've never seen any of his films, go grab Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (a madcap slice of hormonal heartbreak set in 1980s Madrid) and Bad Education (a meta-fictional bit of mind-fuckery that shows a very hot Gael GarcĂa Bernal moonlighting as a hustler-slash-drag queen). They're both awesome.
But if you don't have time for a feature length film, just watch the half-minute teaser for his upcoming film Los Amantes Pasajeros (loosely translated as "The Temporary Lovers"). It features three bearish flight attendants doing a sassy in-flight lip synch to The Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited." High-larious.
And if it doesn't make you smile and feel even the least bit curious about seeing his films, check your pulse, lady, because you may be dead.
