Get a Sneak Peek at Your New Favorite Gay Teen Comedy

By: Brandon Voss

Have cute gay boys replaced bags and shoes as the hottest must-have accessory for teen girls?

In G.B.F. — short for Gay Best Friend, duh — an indie gay comedy directed by out filmmaker Darren Stein of Jawbreaker fame, Will & Grace's Megan Mullally stars as the enthusiastically pro-gay mother to Brent, a closeted gay high schooler played by The Hard Times of R.J. Berger's Paul Iacono, who came out publicly last year.

Following the outing of Brent's best friend Tanner — actor Michael J. Willett, playing gay for the second time after United States of Tara — Tanner becomes sought-after as a popularity-boosting sidekick by his high school's three biggest "clique queens," played by Pretty Little Liars star Sasha Pieterse, Precious star Xosha Roquemore, and Desperate Housewives alum Andrea Bowen.

Can't wait to see it? G.B.F. premieres Apr. 19 at the 2013 TriBeCa Film Festival. Go behind-the-scenes here and check out the new official trailer below.
