Adorkable Paul Rudd Set to Star in Ant-Man Adaptation
Paul Rudd is slated to portray Ant-Man in the upcoming film version of the classic Marvel Comics character, reports Variety. The film has been in development since the 1980s, but only recently became a serious project after the success of films like Iron Man and The Avengers. The movie is expected to hit theaters in July 2015 as a launch pad for "Phase 3" of Marvel's cinematic universe.
Known for his good looks and "boy next door" charm, Rudd has been a mainstay of movies since his breakout role in 1995 Clueless. He's since become a part of Judd Apatow's comedy troupe that includes Will Farrell and Steve Carell, and stars in this weekend's Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
Rudd also played the gay lead opposite Jennifer Aniston in The Object of My Affection, and had a supporting role in last year's LGBT-themed Perks of Being a Wallflower.
In fact, the man is very comfortable with his sexuality. Not only does he "feel pretty gay" and think he'd "be a really good gay guy," he has a shiny penis that is "a little like looking into the sun."
That's ok, Paul -- we'd go blind to get a look at it.
