One of Your Favorite Strippers Is Not Signed On for 'Magic Mike XXL'

The sequel to Magic Mike is scheduled to hit theatres next July, which means its likely going to start shooting any time now. But at least one of the beefcakes from the first film has yet to sign on for the sequel.

As of now, Alex Pettyfer (the newbie stripper) has no deal in place to appear in Magic Mike XXL. Channing Tatum revealed that the movie will be a road trip film of sorts, focusing on the strippers as they make their way in a truck to a stripper convention.

Describing his own experience at a stripper convention, Tatum told Entertainment Weekly: “The women would come from miles and miles around. Then you lock the doors and you say all bets are off. It gets zany and crazy, and it's a wild ride. It's an incubator for insanity.”

Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer are all expected to return for the sequel. The film will be directed by Steven Soderbergh’s long-time assistant director Gregory Jacobs.
