LISTEN: Scissor Sisters New Single 'Only the Horses'

By: Joe Thompson

Scissor Sisters debuted their new single "Only the Horses" on Friday, April 6th, on Fearne Cotton's BBC Radio 1 show. This is the first single from the Scissor Sisters' new album, Magic Hour; it's the band's fourth studio album, which is being released on May 28.

"Only the Horses" is another amazing dance track, the kind of song that progressive dance fans, gays, and people outside the US absolutely love. It's produced by Scissor Sisters openly gay and totally sexy front man Jake Shears, along with Calvin Harris, who recently lent his producing skills to Rihanna's smash hit "We Found Love." Between Harris and Scissor Sisters opening for Lady Gaga on her last tour, we're hoping they get much more US exposure with this single. They deserve it.

"I've known Calvin for quite a while, we met originally making some music with Kylie for the 'Aphrodite' album," Shears said to Cotton during the BBC interview. "He's just a lovely guy, he's so wonderful."

Scissor Sister's Magic Hour album features collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Diplo, BoysNoize's Alex Rihda and Azealia Banks as well as Harris. Listen to the new single below.
