Dance Music Legend Danny Tenaglia Is "Resigning"
Legendary gay DJ/producer Danny Tenaglia has announced to the world that he's leaving the dance music scene after serving 30 years in the business. The sudden decision was made after losing his passport and ID in some carry-on luggage while traveling.
According to dance music website inthemix, Tenaglia took to Facebook and posted a lengthy account of why it’s time to take a step back, and promised his legions of fans that he's “resigning” but not retiring.
Tenaglia wrote to fans, "for me, being myself was living with 1 foot in a closet and 1 outside “trying” to BE the happiest DJ on Earth, which I have been, and give the World the best I had to Give because I know how happy I have made people with the gift of music from GOD an
d this has been a great blessing." He went on to say, "I just wanna Thank U 4 Lettin me BE MYSELF all these years, and now I beg you to please continue with me in my journey and my quest for something new and wonderful. I will never give up my first love with MUSIC, but there has to BE something else (or someone) out there waiting for me!"
Danny Tenaglia will perform his signature 12-hour marathon DJ set one last time at his birthday bash @ Pacha on Saturday, April 28th in New York City.
